Radio equipment for sale. I recently purchased a full IFR radio stack from a local missionary group that is selling off all of their old equipment on ebay. The package I bought from them ( item # 4617775579) for $325 did not sell on ebay for $450. They are offering some good deals for sale if you contact them direct. Because I am local to MAF and am having my panel redone next week, Ken said if I had a problem with anything he would make it right. They have a lot of stuff to sell. You can call Ken at home at 909 338 7492 or his cell at 909 553 6092. Although I have just meet Ken, I have known and worked with these good folks for many years. Looks like a good time to buy any extra equipment you may need. Jim See the full MAF story at MAF.ORG
Picked up my purchase from MAF today (Mon). The equipment is really clean, checked and tagged before it was put in storage. I slipped both radios in 49L for a check and they work fine. Aircraft goes to the radio shop on Fri for the install. Attachment is a before picture.
Also gutted the inside today for the radio shop and new interior. I still have to get the headliner out, but it's ready to fall, All the antenna's (comm, nav, g/s, mb,& gps) go on tomorrow. What fun.
Your interior plastics appear to be in very good shape. The door post pieces of my plane crumbled real bad, probably from years of being parked facing south into the sun.
OK, maybe the headliner is not ready to fall out. It feels as though the headliner is glued in on the sides. Everything else is loose. The service manual states that there may be some light duty cement in that area. Light duty my butt. That stuff is stronger than super glue. Any ideas on further progress for removal? As always, any input will be gladly accepted.
It's a foam tape that is tough as hell. It gets stuck really well to the headliner AND the side support. Patient, persistent pulling. Start at one of the back edges and it will come out, but you'll be cussing before it's all said and done.

Thanks, I pulled everything back in July 05 when I bought MLC and repaired and painted. Finishing up the interior with the radio install. Attachment is repair on inside of the right baggage compartment.
Got 7UN back from the radio shop today, the DME seems to work OK but my transponder is still squaking a different code than it diplays. Just got off the phone with Ken, maybe he'll come up with one. Thanks...
The cussing has already started. Thanks for the help, Jim
Get some 3M adhesive remover and squirt it on the two sided tape. Shouldn't hurt fabric (test it first), but might be bad for foam...not sure. I used it to remove 30 year old door seals and glue, and as long as I let it sit for a bit, it softened the glue up enough to remove the seats and residual glue. Still not without elbow grease, but better than a grinder.
