Look at the interior photos that show the doors. Some kind of material has been stretched over the door panel and covers the ash trays in a very bad way. But yes, the outside paint and the panel looks nice. It had been relisted several times with lower price. A friend of mine was looking to buy that plane and flew out to look at it in person. He said the paint looked like it was done with spray cans - lots of orange peel, no depth or shine. The carpeting looks like it came from Home Depot, just cut to fit and dropped in place (edges not hemmed). And lots of interior pieces covered with stretch fabric glued in place with lots of wrinkles. He was disgusted at the time/money he wasted to look at the plane. In my opinion, from looking at the close-up photos he took, I get the impression that all the cosmetics were applied inexpertly and/or hurriedly. It makes me wonder about the mechanical maintenance.

Were they replaced with new at overhaul or just reworked, etc, etc?
Total time (8755) makes me think this plane has spent a lot of time as a trainer.
Buy I do wish I had dual radios. Now I carry a handheld as a backup. Of course my handheld still works if I have a total electrical failure.

On a side note are the M models the same body at a 152?

The doors bowed out with the G model and tubular gear were adopted with the L. The 150M, however, introduced the panel / switch layout seen in the 152. So, could be argued that the G fuselage was carried forward into the 152 or that the L fuselage could be directly swapped with a 152. Just about the only difference between the M and the 152 occurred firewall forward though. You could wake up in either and not know which one you were in... which might be scary for several reasons.

Mighty close for sure, however, the flap control activation (not preset) and flap indicator location (in the door post) in the M that is different from that in the 152, just might be the dead give-a-way or have you wondering if you're still dreaming after you wake up. It has the same flap switch and circuit breakers. Even then, it doesn't compare to the last year model 152 where the upper eyebrow section of the panel was changed, like Scott Keating's model. I believe his is something like one of the last 3 manufactured...and a super-fine original example at that!
