It's either buy a plane or get checked out in a Piper Warrior and Archer so that I can fly every week.

Latest update.

The owner has the plane at the FBO and they are starting the annual. Actually, they started the anual this morning, and then went to work on other planes. They said that they would start opening up the plane around 4:00 today. They also said that I could come down at any time and look the plane over.

Well, that's all fine and dandy. Except I have business at 4:30 and I can't get down there in time and get back. Sooooo, I told the owner that I wanted to know the results of the annual, find out what the problems were, and find out if the ADs and the STCs have been complied with, and that they are documented.

I am hoping that I heard this wrong, but the owner said that this FBO has taken two or three weeks to perform an annual.

So, the saga continues.

Heard back on the annual on Friday. About $400 worth of repairs. Going to try and fly it next Saturday (after all of the work is done). And if all goes well, money starts changing hands.

Currently it is at Crystal (MIC) near Minneapolis. In about a week it will be based at Lake Elmo MN (21D). That makes it nice an local (about 7 minutes from home).

I'm in Alexandria MN so if you need help wit anything just let me know. Also if you want to do a little formation flying to get some air-air pictures I'm interested.

Thanks, I'll consider the arial pictures. However, I do not have any experience with formation flying. Since I only have a 69 hours, it might not be a good idea to fly too close to another airplane.
