Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a KX-170b or a MX-170b radio and a VOR Indicator KI-208 or KI-201C, may upgrade to the KI-214 with the glide slope receiver.

Bought a plane last month and noticed that the radio has a weak transmission where approach can hardly hear me but receives fine. We swapped the radio yesterday with a kx-170b and all worked fine, so I'm thinking it is the radio. Anyone do an upgrade or know of a good repair shop around Tulsa, OK or close?

Back in 2011, I needed to replace my transponder. Jim Hillabrand recommended Wings Avionics [wingsavionics.com] in Fayetteville, AR. I called and talked to Brady Terry, the shop manager. Very nice and honest guy. He shipped me the replacement unit, I shipped back my old one and a check.
