Fly anywhere today! One of the finer examples of a VFR 150 available in the country. 1973 150L, Tach Time 5400 & counting "I've flown 54 hours in the last 7 months & will continue to fly weekly". TSMO 660, Next annual due April 2013. Compressions 3-20-12 annual 1/75 2/78 3/77 4/77. New F&M oil filter, Battery, Brackett Air Filter & Tempest Plugs Nov. 2012 Aeroshell 15-50 oil changed every 25 hours. Just changed yesterday 11-10-12. Nav/Com, Mode C Transponder with current certification, ELT, Softcom Stero Intercom with Audio, Ipad mount. This airplane has been based in SW Cincinnati Ohio area for over 20 years. Always hangared. Painted in 1991 "constantly asked if I just had painted recently". No damage history, zero corrosion, Very nice smooth flying airplane. 110 mph groundspeed calm air at 2450 rpm no problem. Solid 9 out of 10 exterior. 8 out of 10 interior. If I don't sell, Im planning on using SEM products to change interior plastic to gray. Have oppourtunity to possibly upgrade to nice larger family hauler which is only reason offering for sale. If you want a nice 150, here is a chance at one for $25,000. Save yourself the headaches traveling the country searching for a keeper. If no takers, I have no problem keeping & flying like I have been. John 513-383-8283

Add $1,000 and I'll throw in over $2500 in accessories like new Ipad II with Foreflight, Bose A20 Headsets & lots of new hangar accessories / plane specific goodies bought this year. Plane we are looking to buy comes with new Bose A20's & I'll just use my Ipad Mini. Spread the word...I would bet first serious potential buyer would jump on this. I am not going to advertise on Barnstormers / Controller / Ebay at this time.

Nice bird! Someone is going to have a good new years. Any trouble selling? I was wondering how 150's have been selling?

I was kind of wondering about how 150's are doing in the market as well. I have heard good ones are getting hard to find, but whenever I talk to someone about possibly trading (for a Cardinal), all of a sudden 150's aren't worth much.

Can't speak for John, but I purchased a 1977 C150M last summer. Standard VFR package, very clean in and out. Only 3600 total time, 375 SMOH. STOL kit (not something I would have done, but the previous owner loved it). 1 year as a trainer (best I can tell). I paid between $20K and $25k. Probably paid to much but plane was close so I did not have any cost to go get plane and bring it home.

Seriously looked at three other 150's before buying 63U. Two were in bad shape and they were asking $22k to $23k for them. Don't know if they have been sold but I don't think they will get more than $18k for either one of them. Neither seller would budge on their price, even after I showed them a much nicer plane in their price range. And I had cash in hand and told them I was going to buy a plane from somebody.

Third plane was a SparrowHawk. Found out it had been crashed twice, once into the trees. I was not interested in plane with a lot of damage history, so seller and I never got serious. He was asking $25.5k. Plane was a little rough but was 125hp.

Followed for sale sites while I was looking. Less than good 150s do not seem to move quickly. Nice clean 150s that are reasonably priced do not seem to stay on the market long.

I think I could have gotten a better deal if I would have held out and looked at more planes. But I was burning money renting while I was looking.

Only my observations while I was buying my 150. Lot of high time, original paint and interior 150s out there. But nice clean 150s are getting harder to come by.

Just my opinions.

Good wife, good friends & a Cessna 150. Life is good.

Last edition of trade a plane only had 34 c150's listed. When I was looking in 05 there were probably 100.

we have a guy here in NY that is buying up 150's 152's and 172's and jamming them into containers and sending them to the Ukrane as fast as he can I guess there is a shortage of small airplanes there.
I guess if the FAA were to include the 150 in its new LSA designation then the price would go through the roof.
