You mean you won't get to use your iPad before the world ends on December 21?
That's horrible.
I think you need some sort of special dispensation.
I'm told that Poobs is in charge of granting those sorts of things; although finding eye of newt and left-handed frogs for the ritual is probably a little difficult this time of year. But, with Internet shopping and next day delivery, it could be possible.

I turned it on, signed in to my account and promptly turned it off and packed it back in it's box. The return label is on the way and it's going back to Apple today, postage paid by Apple, mainly because I don't like the tiny keypad and overall size of the mini. Prolly wouldn't do me any good to have an iPhone, either. I'll just stick to my antiquated flip-phone. After getting spoiled on the iPad 2 (Wi-Fi only) I think I'll just spring for the difference and get the iPad-3 4G. That was such a letdown order. Sadly, you can't swap an online order at an Apple store, either.

I had lots of fun just playing with the machine when I first got it. Get all the aviation apps and try them out for yourself. They're free for a month.
I liked getting them at the same time (Foreflight and WingX Pro at the time, Garmin Pilot wasn't around) and trying them in parallel, to see which one I liked best. I do know others that prefer to go through them one at a time to better concentrate on each one.

Well when you are 9'6" tall you must have big mitts. I bet to you the normal iPad is like the mini is to me.

Interesting you can't return at the store. I was able to return my online ordered WiFi only iPad2 for the 3G Verizon model back in the day (Just had to be within 2 weeks of receiving and took three tries of standing in line in the morning for them to get a 64GB Verizon unit)

I'm about to upgrade this Christmas. I decided to stick with a full-sized iPad 4. I really liked the mini, but I prefer the larger display, not just for aviation but for the other things I use my iPad for, such as reading, e-mail and web browsing. The retina display had a slight advantage, and of course weight was a negative for the full size machine. However, overall it won out over the mini.
Now in my 150, the full size was marginal in terms of comfort. In my 172, I have no problems with it.
