A friend of mine is looking to buy the radio like in the Photo. The one he has is not working and wants to replace it with the same one. Any idea where he can get one like that. Doesn't have to be new. Appreciate your help.

Felipe,
That looks like an RT 328. I am not sure about slide in
replacements. I'm sure others will know.

Signal Avionics has them used (reconditioned?) for $799.

Or try E Bay. Thats where I got aN RT 485B to replace my 385.

I may have a good one, Felipe!

I haven't had a chance to install it and check it yet, but I can do that anytime. If your friend doesn't like the prices they ask, let me know! I'll bet I can beat it!

Filipe, Don't quote me on this, but I think the Michell MX300? is a direct replacment for the Cessna radio just a thought.

Yes, it will!

From the owners manual in the Members Hangar section:

[color:"blue"] "Additionally the MX300 will directly replace the following NAV/COMM'S:

RT308C RT328A

RT328C RT328D

RT508A RT528A

RT528E

The RT308C, RT328A, and RT528A use pin L of J3 instead of pin BB of J4 to output the NAV demod signal. The MX300 may be ordered with the different output pin or may be modified in the field.

An optional adapter is available which permits the replacement of

the following NAV/COMM'S:

RT517 RT514R

RT540 RT515R

RT515A-1

The MX300 will interface directly with the ARC IN525A Course Deviation Indicator and similar units.

The remote channeling outputs of the unit permit channeling of Glide Slope receivers and DME using the ARINC 2 out of 5 channeling system."

Ok!

I'll check mine out and make sure it works ok. I have no way to do a proper bench check, but that'll keep the price down, too!
