Desser Tire.
I used the Monster Retreads.
Aviation Consumer did a tire eval and the Goodyear Flight custom III were tops, but the retread scored well AND you cannot beat the price. Make sure to get NEW tubes, don't reuse the old ones.

Ditto for Desser. I've had great service and prices from them.

I don't do retreads. Strictly personal preference...just sayin'.

I had several of those Dresser retreads for a long time.

The tread lasted forever, but the sidewalls didn't. In fact I only got a year or so out of the last set. Went back to new Hawks.

But I do use Dresser for Songbird's new shoes.

The retreads I've seen seem to have a larger diameter than a regular tire of the same nominal size.

GAWD! No thank you! Uh huh! No way am I installing retreads on our 150. I couldn't stand the tension every time that I flew worrying about if my gear was going to come down or not!! eek

Seriously. The Dresser 600-6 retread costs $65. Add $12 for shipping and we have $77 each. Looking at my Chief catalog, Airtrac tires are $68 and are shipped free. Why would I even consider putting on retreads?
