How would one legally put them on their aircraft? Is there any paperwork required? How much difference do they make performance wise?

There is an STC for the wingtips. Some folks swear by the wingtips claiming a few knots faster cruise, better slow speed / stall characteristics while others notice little to no difference in performance. I went back to stock tips because I like the look of the symmetrical wing tip. I honestly have not noticed a difference in handling.
