I have searched the forums with no luck. Does anyone know of a supplier for a battery box for a 150? I am told that the box for the 172 would work. I have not been able to find a decent one anywhere. Thanks,

Hello Brandon

I have a few very nice battery boxes for sale. How does $70.00 sound? I'll cover the shipping. I'll box it up and take it the the post office. Write me back on this forum with your mailing address and then mail me a check.

My mailing address is:

Sibco inc
Mike Sibley
44608 Carver drive
Kenai Alaska 99611

Once I get your check I'll mail the box.

I'm out at my work but I'll be home to box this up on July 11th. By that time your check should be at my house.

My cell is 907-398-9610 if you have any questions.

Mike

I've got a couple as well, but Mike's price is really good. One just sold on eBay for $195 [cgi.ebay.com] plus shipping.

Thanks Bob, Mike and Kendel. Guys, what kind of shape are the boxes you have in? The bottom of mine is in pretty bad shape and that is why I am looking for another. My A&P thought the one on Ebay would really end up in just as bad shape. Most salvage facilities currently have really corroded boxes. He is also not into using fiberglass to reinforce the bottom.

Mike if you have a good one I can get a check right out.

Thanks,

Brandon

Brandon, you've been offered a "buy now, no questions asked" price by Mike for a box he's already described as "very nice". If I were you, I'd jump on the offer and then sell it on eBay (for a profit, I'd imagine) if it doesn't meet your needs.

Gift horses... mouths.... all that.

Mike, if Brandon doesn't want the battery box, I'd really love to have it. Just say the word and I will send a check tomorrow.

Of course, I understand if the box is already spoken for.

Philip, It sounds like Mike has a few boxes.

I'm sure he has gathered them from some of his aircraft salvage hikes up in Alaska.

Once I get home I'll count them. I think I have 3 or 4. Up here we have all changed over to the light weight dry cell battery so that is how I ended up with the boxes. I'll take pictures but like I said I think they are in good shape. No holes but the bottoms may need some paint.
