Tip of the iceberg is an apt description. I once bought an airplane that was missing an alternator. It turned out the reason the alternator was missing was because the engine crankshaft was broken. Obviously, the airplane didn't need the alternator until the engine was replaced, so it got removed to be put on another aircraft.

Parts don't scavenged without a reason for the donor airplane to be a ... donor.

I like how the "sold as is where is" is super tiny at the bottom. lol. Surprised the 150HP engine was installed so quickly... 1971 plane with the 150HP installed a year later.
