Can this do XM Wx and traffic? Also I see this uses Jeppessen data, does that mean it includes Canadian airports and airspace? I could be interested in this if it does. Is there a subscription rate for updates? $35/ cycle from the website seems steep.

Weather requires an optional add-on. As I recall it was pretty expensive so if you really want weather one of the newer Garmin models would probably be a better value.

What about the Canadian airport data. Are we in there? I see by their website they list the data the same way Garmin does (by North America not USA) so I'm hoping the data will be the same as Garmin. I like the 7" form factor but the android apps I'm using have only US data. It's OK for where I'm flying now but having Canadian data updated regularly would be great.

I have the AvMap IV and it includes Canadian airports. Its all based on the Jeppessen data base. It needs to be updated every 28 days on the Jeppessen data base which I believe they are $35 per update on the AvMap website.
I bought a panel mount for mine as well, its quite the neat little unit. Looking forward to trying it out this week when we go to Florida to look at that 150 down there.

It doesn't do Traffic, but with the WX Worx attachment it does show weather but the monthly subscription is no were worth it in my opinion.
