What he said but 30+.....and I doubt I'll ever get over it.

We're all so fortunate to not only fly but to actually own the vehicles that take us where so few can go.

Dang fortunate indeed.

Absolutely.

We are lucky and fortunate. To be able to FLY! In OUR own birds!

Fortunate indeed...It trumps flowers, chocolates and movies. Yesterday morning I got emails from my two sisters in Eastern Canada. One got a card, chocolates and was going to a movie. The other got a card, flowers, was going out to dinner and then a movie. So I emailed back last night and told them I flew for over an hour, got the airplane fulled and put away in the hangar at dusk and came home and heated up leftovers for our dinner. A Valentine's Day only a pilot could love.

I am (or at least "my" plane) is legit now. I went down to the airport at lunch (3 miles from home) to do tie down paper work. Airport manager must have been bored so he loaded me up in the truck and we did a nice little tour. Kind of amazing that I have flown out of this airport for years yet had no clue what all was available to aircraft owners.

Best part is they had the form I needed so after I drop a few things in the mail, my paperwork is current and I am legally park.

It was funny when I parked in transient parking, the little 150 is so small the tie down chains wouldn't reach!!!! I mentioned this to the airport guy and he said he would have them add some chain to my spot just to be sure.

I really didn't want to deal with the scary people in the tower building previously, after today, seems they are there to help! It was a very nice visit.

You hadn't been in a tower before? shocked

Your instructor was remiss in his duties! That's almost mandatory where I trained. I've been up in several towers, and it's always enjoyable.

Carl,
He took me to B,C, and D airspace towers! He mentioned the airspace here in the Bay Area has a decent amount of activity and wanted me to be comfy with reaching out for help if needed. It was cool to see especially as a student pilot.

In this case the airport offices with admin/security folks are in the base of the tower.

Cool! I forget the "student pilot" part! We're all student pilots, no matter how many thousands of hours, how many ratings, or how big the aircraft!

Licensed to learn!

I'm feeling that all over as a neophyte owner.
