Hey all! Well I am in the market for a 150, and I have been looking in many places and have looked at quite a few, but none have really caught my eye or were right for me. My time frame is in about 4-5weeks before I can "offically" pull the trigger so to speak. I have found 3 that are very interesting to me, but they are way out of my range, for an intial look. I hate to drive 14 hours or more each way to find out its junk.
So what I am looking for is someone that lives in that area that might be able to go and take a peak at them for me and report back to me. If it continues to peak my interest then I will happily make the drive. I would happily take this volunteer out for dinner and a couple beers for there effort. So anyone that is in the area listed below, and up for it drop me a line here with your contact info and we'll be talkin!
First one is in Plains, Georgia
Next is Glendale, CA (Whiteman)
And lastly Fishers, IN
Thanks to all who took time to read!

I can handle the Plains, Ga one. Where is it located, Peterson Field (7A9)...the little private grass strip?

It's about 39nm for me.

Just a thought but when buying mine, I was cautioned to look a little closer to home because the cost of finding, buying, and taking delivery of those far flung airplanes could be spent on a more expensive but nicer version closer to you. I would add some of our own have offered planes recently that are likely among the best true value you're likely to see.

Bengie, that would be great, I will give you a call later today.

Jim, Thanks for the words of wisdom, and yes it is so true. I've looked here and seen some nice aircraft available, and have looked closer to home, but nothing is what I want. I have a particular project in mind, and so it needs to be just the right 150 for me.

No problem. I'll look around the Kingston, Belleville, Brockville area (Ontario). Are there any specific features you're looking for?

Mark, Let us know what you are looking for and we all can keep an eye out for you.
I know of at least two real nice 150s within 50 miles of me and I think I am a bit
closer to you than those are.

THIS ONE for instance.

I get easily confused when got to many things to think about. The 3 I have in mind at the moment are 3 that are located at the following spots.

Plains, Georgia- Hope to have Bengie take a peak.

Still need 2 volunteers for
Glendale, CA (Whiteman)
and
Fishers, IN

Thanks again everyone!

Russ Anderson keeps his A152 at Whiteman... unless it's the one you're looking at. If it IS, I have very personal experience with that airplane!

Where ya at, Russ? Haven't heard from you in a LONG time!

Well I got a hold of the owner in Georgia, and I talked to Bengie, and he is going to try and take a look at that one next weekend. This is a BIG help! Hoping I can find the right airplane for me!

Kind of excited, Bengie is going to look at the one I'm most interested today, he said he will take lots of pictures and try to pull the cowls for a good look. This will be the deciding factor as to if it warrants me taking the trip to see it first hand.. Can't wait to hear from Bengie!
Keep you posted!
