Serial Number per FAA website: A1500660

Does the A denote Aerobat?

Good wife, good friends & a Cessna 150. Life is good.

Actually, $34.5 is about average for an Aerobat, and this one (if the listing is accurate) is relatively low time on the airframe, and the engine is just past 1/2 TBO.
The interior looks average ( not a lot of pictures, though...but the seller could probably send more)..
The radios are, well, um...VINTAGE. Not mentioned, but it looks like an obsolete (worthless) LORAN in the panel as well.
The taildragger mod could be either good or bad, depends on what floats your boat, and it will be faster without the nose wheel hanging down in front. (insurance may be higher on a TD)
At least they kept the 0-200 so it retains aerobatic status...
Exterior paint looks good, not original paint, so it was repainted at some point.
The price IS "O.B.O."...and in todays market,...asking and getting are two different things.
This may go for a lot less depending on seller "motivation".
Oh, It's RED, WHITE & BLUE as well!!!!!!!

No,...
All Aerobats begin with A150 or A152, then the 4 digit s/n.
So, A1500660 is the 660th Aerobat made...(close enough as there are some exceptions, such as the 150 Aerobat prototyped into the A152)
Personally, I think EVERY model 150 from the 1970 "K" on should have been built as an Aerobat. If you're going to build a training aircraft, why not plan on teaching spins and acro along with the basics?

Nope. I looked at the Rudder AD which lists all the serial number ranges. An Aerobat serial has only 7 numbers.
