That's a good start towards making a neat home-made flight-sim!

Get a couple of hydraulic rams from Northern Tool and you can make it full-motion, too!

FOR AUCTION IS A 1970 MOONEY M20C N9402V S/N 700032 AIRCRAFT WITH OUT ENGINE AND RADIOS. THAT DID A GEAR UP LANDING AND WAS TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE COMPANY THAT DID THE RECOVERY CUT THE TAIL OFF INSTEAD OF UNBOLTING THE WING FOR TRANSPORT.

YIKES!!!!!
OMG- an easy gear up landing repair and the guys that recover the plane saw the tail off???
Wow!
I'll bet that salvage/recovery company doesn't get any more contracts!

The salvage company that recovered my project cut the horizontal stab off. I thought that was bad enough.

I kind of blame the insurance company. They probably bid the recovery out to the lowest bidder without even considering their qualifications in aircraft recovery.

A thought though...when I was researching "my next plane" I seem to remember something about the Mooney having the one-piece main spar carry all the way through the airplane which is why it was so strong. I don't own one nor ever looked, but could that be a contributing factor.
