Really pleased this thread has been redirected toward Hang Gliding. I find myself smiling whilst reading Bob's comments (we seem to have similar views). Very much looking forward to flying Funston (SF) and Marina (Monterey) once this contract is over and the late spring soaring weather rolls in.

I'm still on the look out for a sweet 150. I'll post specific questions in the appropriate forum areas. Thank you again for the positive attitude and support in my quest to find an aircraft. Great to meet another fixed wing pilot passionate about flex wing Hang Gliding.

All this talk of Hanggliding I had to chime in. Larry Jorgensen here from Washington state. HG for the last 30 years, flying a couple hundred hours a year. also do tandems and owne a Dragonfly Tug and tow HG's up. I had to get my private a few years ago as the FAA stepped in and amde us get these heavy ultralites N#. To tow you must have a private. So last year I bought a 150m to keep my ticket. Tired of renting 172's and 152's.This is a great site, best I have seen.

Wecome Larry! I'm also a 'new guy' and pleased to see other HG pilots exploring the certified world. Fantastic that you own a Dragonfly. Outside of the clip-wing J-3 I soloed in, the Dragonfly was the most fun I've had in a taildragger. Which engine do you have in it? (great profile pic)

Sorry Jeff this site is so large I forgot where I posted. I haven't even touched the surface on info in this forum. I have the 582 in the tug. I have flown the 912 and 914 tugs but still prefer the 582. Makes for a very fun airplane to fly. Had a chance to fly them in australia in the outback in Hay. What a blast, very flat you could fly 5' off the ground all day.I have been flying this tug for 15 years. Have torn it dwon a few times and gone through 5-6 engine rebuilds. Because I tow with it I only get about 400 hours on a rebuild. Shes in great shape, always hangared.
