I've been watching these adds, and I have to admit, I am intrigued by his prices. I'll report back on fit and finish when the part gets here, after I have installed it. | | | | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 1,940 Member/1500+posts | Member/1500+posts Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 1,940 | I see this guy has instrument panel covers listed. There are a huge variety of panel layouts and I see no listing of model designation or serial numbers.
I wonder what you get?

I figure I can't go too wrong with the eyebrow. I hope it's a good indicator of their product line, which I think might be associated with Wag-Aero! Similar coding and disclaimers! Code 8: To our knowledge, these parts do not carry an FAA/PMA, TSO, and/or STC, and no application is in process. These products are offered for sale only for experimental category aircraft.

How difficult was the installation? I imagine since the strut has to be dropped it would require an A&P?

One would need FSDO pre approval to install these parts ?

They aren't structural, they aren't mechanical, only cosmetic pieces. Don't ask, don't tell! I don't think they would ever come up in conversation with the Fed!
The eyebrow I ordered is good heavy gauge plastic several times heavier than the original. Very good finish, and I think the fit will be good. There is no labeling of any kind on the leather grain textured black finish, nor any predrilled holes for any switches, mirrors, etc. You won't cut this with an exacto knife or scissors. You'll need to drill a starter hole and use a coping saw (for the mirror opening) or a Dremel tool, to cut and shape this product (or leave it as is and remove the mirror?). I'm very well satisfied for the price I paid. 4.5 stars! | | |
