I have never seen this air comm brand before. It appears they are primarily designed for law enforcement and helicopters. Take a look at some of their other audio panels. One of the particularly interesting ideas is an "audio mixer" instead of an audio panel. In the case of the audio mixer, you simply have a volume control for each audio source, and you can listen to all of them simultaneously . The 300 unit that Jerry has is more like having dual audio panels, one for the pilot and one for the copilot, but with a lot more inputs that typical aircraft audio panels. Pretty neat concept.

I agree with Royson. It's mounted using dzus rail mounting, and it appears to be two separate audio controllers, left side for pilot, right side for observer.

Probably out of a law enforcement or TV helicopter.

To refine my previous observations, comparing the Air Comm 300 to something like a PS engineering audio panel, PSE has input/mic control for 2 transceivers and inputs only for 3 nav radios and one aux plus a couple of unswitched audio inputs. The AC300 has inputs/mic control for 5 transceivers. I guess the idea is that the pilot and copilot could monitor and transmit on three additional radios like police radios, and maybe something like Citizens band.

I agree that the Ham radio geeks would love to get their hands on one of these. I might be interested myself, except that I am spoiled by having stereo on my PSE panel.
