I am interested in two 150s for sale in the Houston area. One is based at Pearland Regional and the other said to be located at Rosharon, TX. Do any members live close to these two locales, and, if so, would you be willing to take a look at these airplanes for me?

I have another prospect based at London, Kentucky (LOZ). Anyone live close enough there for a look on my behalf? If so, let me know in a private post and I'll provide the contact info.

Many thanks.

Don,

We make a couple of trips a year to Somerset, just west of London. We don't have anything planned right now, but will let you know if we do. I do know an IA in Burnside (west of Somerset) that I trust, that might go take a look, for a small fee.

Carl:

Many thanks. If you could send me the name and telephone number of the IA to the west, I would be glad to have it. The seller is supposed to send me some pics this weekend. If they and the other data look good, maybe I could hire the IA or another A&E to do a pre-buy. I think my biggest concern at this point is that the exterior and interior are good enough vis-a-vis the price to warrant a mechanical inspection.

Gary Wayne Boss
1293 Jacksboro Rd.
Bronston, Ky, 42518-9588 (very near Burnside)
Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic

Tell Gary I went to high school at Pulaski High in the 60's, and know his Dad, Ed Boss. I was the "airport kid" his dad kept out of trouble, and I've stopped in every few years to say thanks, and "Hi"!

I noticed the FAA Database does not list Gary as an IA, but I do know he knows small Cessna's intimately, and is highly respected in Eastern Kentucky! It would be about 40 minutes drive (about 15 minutes flight) from Boss Airport 08KY [airnav.com] to London.

I think it's both, Don! They live on the edge of the field!
