I am looking for a cover for my 1961 150A fastback straight tail. I would like a winter outdoor cover that goes back past the gas caps. Has anyone see, purchased or have any suggestions where to find one. Any contact information or prices would be helpfull.

Thanks

Richard

Richard

I just ordered a cover for my 152 from Ground Tech Corp, Jim Cancil. planecover.com [planecover.com] To order or get your questions answered you will need to call (800) 825-1245.

The covers for the 150/152 have three belly bands and wing flaps that cover the air vent intakes and the gas caps. Jim says he currently shipping about 2 to 3 weeks after order. Each cover is made custom for each order. His price is 295 plus shipping.

Planecover.com [planecover.com] is the only
way to go in my book.
Jim Cancil is very easy to deal with.
I have had one of his covers on my 152 for about 9 years now.
He will also rehab an older cover for $25. this includes return shipping.
I just boxed mine up to send him to have it restitched.
Can you imagine, after 9 years they will restitch the entire
cover for $25.00.
I just wish they still made the style that they called "The Rain Cap".
I think Hung has this type too and I think he will agree.

I had one (see photo) but sold it a few years ago when I got a hangar.

Richard, I haven't seen any specifically for the fastbacks, but I do know that the omni-vision covers can be modified, and made to look good. If you can't get one of the suppliers to make one for you, let me know. I have a 150C for a model, and I used to be able to sew a pretty good hem in my day!

Check out www.Kennoncovers.com [kennoncovers.com] I am looking at getting some wing and tail covers through them before winter. They have different types, Ranging in price from $325 - $525 for high wing singles (this is for wing and tail cover kits) they also have cabin covers, cowel covers and even entire airplane covers.
