I've been calling parts places and salvage yards all over the U. S. to try to find an oil cap for the Duchess. The dip-stick broke off in my hand during pre-flight.

Stock Continental O200-A Engine Serial# 275936R
Part Number:649608-20

I have the cap and the dipstick and can still check oil quantity but need a replacement.

Any help locating one would be appreciated.

This may not be as easy as it first appears! There are several varieties of dipstick available from Continental, and only one is correct for an O-200A in a Cessna 150. None of them fit both C-90's and O-200A's (according to Continental). There is a 5qt and 6qt dipstick!

Carl,

I ordered one this afternoon and it is already at UPS.

I'll soon know if the one Aircraft Spruce sells is the right one when it gets here.

Watch this space!! wink

RC,

I went through this a few years ago before I knew you and before I joined this club...

Got the WRONG one, and ended up going to Ce$$na for the part.

I was ASTONISHED to learn it was not a "dip stick" but an "Oil Quantity Gauge" and was $107.50 delivered!

Another reminder of how much Ce$$na really loves us! Ha Ha!

Hey I'm going to Clinton in 9 days! I'm sure there will be plenty of places to find one that fits Duchess! grin

Sounds like we may need to keep the "dipsticks" away from the "oil quantity guages"! smirk laugh

I just wanted to let you know ahead of time that an oil dipstick for a 152 won't work in a 150. grin
