Every once in a while an airplane for sale crosses my desk here at headquarters that appears to be better than average, and I just posted a nice 152 in the classifieds this morning. It is owned by club member Garbis Mahmouzian of East Hampton, NY. I spoke to Garbis at length about the airplane. It appears to be a much better than average 152, and Garbis impressed me as an intelligent and reasonable seller. He is negotiating to buy a C180 on floats, and is a little reluctant to let the 152 go, but knows he must. Garbis fears seeing the airplane go to a flight school for a hard life, and really hopes a private owner will appreciate the airplane instead. He is asking $29,500, but told me I could reveal here in the forum that he would sell it to a club member for $28K. If you are looking for a nice 152, be sure to give this one a look. http://71.148.0.203/Cessna/cls/FMPro?-db=web%5fclass.fp3&-format=p%5fdetail.htm&-lay=p%5fdetail&-sortfield=Year&-sortfield=StateDisplay&-sortfield=Price%20Display&Type=For%20Sale%3a&-op=cn&Title=1&-op=gte&Price%20calc=0&-op=lte&Price%20calc=99,000&-max=20&-recid=39208&-find=

Nice plane. Pretty low time for a 152.

Same color and paint scheme as my first 152 that I bought in 1984.

Brings back such fond memories. smile smile

The avionics are good, too. Nav/Com, IFR-GPS.

Drool!

Oh well, too late for me. I've sunk $50K+ over the years into my 42-year-old C-150H, and I'm still not done.

Maybe Damon Brantly -- the guy who's mechanic told him to scrap his C-152 -- should buy this one and save himself a lot of work and money. This looks like a turn-key airplane.

==>> Looks like I'm "stepping away" from aviation after all. Bye, folks!
