There was a sweet purple and white 150 on floats at Jack Browns several years back when I got my float rating. It sure is interesting, but it's hard enough fighting corrosion around fresh water. Most this old were never in salt water. I'd have one by now but I don't have ready access to fresh water in Annapolis, MD. Remember, Jack Browns gives the seaplane rating in J3 Cubs, one or two of which are still 65 HP. The one I flew was 100 HP and didn't need a lot of room to get up on step and in the air.
