My old ACK ELT G-switch bit the dust and failed at annual. I don't want to go 406mhz yet, so looking for a working unit someone may have removed for upgrade.

Looking at a couple on ebay, but figured I would check here too.

Care to elaborate Paul? I am not aware of a reg that restricts you from installing a 121.5 unit, but I might be wrong.

Jeff,

ACK has created an upgrade ELT using some of the same components of the E-01. Might be an option.

Exactly....however they are not available yet so I want to be legal for the next couple of months until they are, thus the E-01 on the cheap.

I have checked several places and they have been delaying the release date now for several months.
