I'm interested in buying a used Airmap 500 or 600 GPS unit. I see them pop up on E-bay fairly regularly, but I'm a bit concerned buying used electronics from that source.
My Airmap 500 is being shipped back from Hung's GPS repair shop in Topeka, KS

....with minor alterations to the software that seemingly had no effect on what appears to be a hardware problem.......Thanks for the effort, Hung!....... In a last ditch effort, I will call LEI and see if they think it can be repaired for a reasonable price. I'm assuming it is junk at this point.
I'm definately not in the market for one of the many $1000-$2000 handheld GPS's on the market, today. I loved my Airmap 500. It made for a nice backup to my KLX 135a in the panel, and I look to replace it with something similar.
My hope is that atleast one club member will have recently upgraded or is considering an upgrade to a newer handheld, and will want to sell the older one to me.
