Even IF that's worth the price NOW (not to me, it isn't) what will it be worth in a year? 5 years? 10 years (if it's even still flyable then).
Just not enough airplane or durability for me. My 150's aluminum airframe and wings will still be flyable well past my lifetime, with only routine care (of course I might need an overhaul or two... and so will the plane)!
Before I piss somebody off again... it's just an opinion.... I'm entitled to them too!
You're right Bill, the more that affordable flying machines are developed and made available to the public, the better it is for GA. No doubt about it.
One size doesn't fit all...but it never has...and that will always be one of the driving forces of innovation.

Civilization is the limitless multiplication of unnecessary necessities. (Mark Twain)
28 HP engine. 5-gallon fuel tank. You're not going to fly very far from home with this thing.
You are missing the point, Mark. Take this $20,000 single seater. What would it cost to make it a two seater? Twice the cost would be generous, I believe. $40,000. What this represents is that new airplanes do not need to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Airplanes can be produced for much much less.
Here is my contribution to the flying world. I've flown it all over New England and eastern NY at altitudes as high as 7,500'. Would you believe I weigh almost as mush as the plane. Some folks say the plane is worthless now because there is no category for it. Stupid LSA rules.

Ain't gonna happen. The only way I am going to stay flying a real airplane (not a kite with a lawnmower engine) will be to fix up my C-150. Maybe after I have $60K or $75K into it, it will be comparable to something new. Still half the price.

So, Mark, what is exactly the criteria that raises an aircraft above the level of a kite and an engine not to be considered to come from a lawnmower?
Nice looking plane. It looks like the twin sister of the J-3 Jr. Which is essentially the same as the J-3 Kitten. I have a copy of the J-3 Jr plans. May build it someday.

Caution: Careful Mark, it's a trap!

Lots of government rules and regulations that are designed to keep me and the flying public happy and safe.
