Bill - Henry

Henry, "Flight of the Gin Fizz" is execllent and, after having read it a time or two, proudly placed it alongside the Frank Kingston Smith, Robert Byrd, Lindberg, etc. Then I loaned it out and haven't seen it since. I'll do a PM to see if I can get another.

Bill, Welcome. It's good to keep up the number of straight tail fastbacks.

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. They are very much appreciated. It sure looks like my son and I may be venturing to Clinton next year (following John Ruffo's lead). It's been less than a week since Henry's plane has been at LWM and my son already has the course plotted (if not on paper, at least in his head).

Thanks again for the "welcomes".

I've got just eight more brand new copies of "Flight of the Gin Fizz" left -- email h.kisor@comcast.net for details if you want an autographed copy.

I owned a 1963, a straight tail, fast back, had no problems getting over Corona pass, just west of Boulder, CO, 9700'. Did it with passengers. Then about 10 years later, purchased a 1969, much prettier but with back window. Could not climb enough to get over Corona Pass. Now own a 1959 straight tail, fast back, and am able to get up to 12,500 to and from my cabin in Westcliffe. All has the O200 engine, and low engine time, and climb props.

Ps from Joel. I rented a relative new (st that time) Cessna 152 with the 115 HP Lycoming, and with a passenger could not get over Corona Pass, 9700'

I doubt if you could tell any diffenence in the differernt 150/152 models if you stayed below 5000'

All copies of "Flight of the Gin Fizz" have been sold. Quite a few used copies are available at Internet booksellers -- Amazon.com can send you to some.
