I live close to them and used to go down and get what I needed. The last time they said everything had to be ordered and paid for on line but I could then come pick it up to save shipping.
Guess my credit card won't work in their machine or my check is no good? Most parts ship direct from their vendors, limited inventory.

I ordered a replacement window from CeeB and was very satisfied with the prices, delivery and shipping time.

I would do business with them again and am planning on doing so when I replpace my windshield later this year.

Their prices seem to be a lot better than anywhere else.

Don't forget they have plane covers and engine plugs, too.

Good information to know.

PlanePlastics was "OK" in the customer relations department, except that they took an awfully long time refunding my money for a purchase which I made relying on a picture in their on-line catalog, which was wrong.

They didn't re-imburse me for the shipping (X2) either which would have been the correct thing to do, IMHO.

They seem to be only a distributer for stuff... you place an order with them and then they order it from the vendor who, in turn , sends it to you.

If there is any issue, you deal with the vendor.... not Texaero...

Limited inventory, but sometimes they do have what you need. Just be careful... check twice, once more, and then order... just be very careful.

I tell ya, it's really a strange situation. General Aviation is on the ropes, and on the verge of being knocked out of the game. Then there are these entities that depend on pilots and General Aviation to keep going, and they do this stuff - making you pay the shipping and a restocking fee even if it's their mistake. Lousy customer service, innumerable regulatory hoops to jump through on the airplane and pilot side, incredible expense,, limited res to keep the bird.... makes ya wonder who's killing the goose that's laying the golden egg. And why.

I avoid Buy Plane parts. A few years back I ordered a few parts form them and got the "royal shaft" as far as the shipping rates from them. Since then,, I'll walk around them to the best of my ability. I think it was also them that chased another guy away That was making up the same products they were selling but his prices were about 25% of these guy's costs. Best advice is,, just avoid these guys, let them go under and someone new will move in that has a better concept of who they are trying to do business with. Yes,, from my perspective,, you can send them a copy of these posts,,

I'm still sore from a shaft I got in 2007. My A&P ordered for me 4 cylinders at over $1000 each to do the overhaul. The next day, Jim Hillabrand offered me a great deal on an engine. I asked my A&P to cancel the order. The vendor stuck us with $650 (15%) for restocking fee....and they had not even shipped the cylinders yet!!! mad

I have never had any luck with buying on internet I always pick up the phone and dial the 1-800 number and talk to an actual warm body, I find they can be very helpful.
Being a canuck shipping anything via a courier company can be shocking when paying shipping. When crossing the border they will often put brokerage fees on and they can be quite costly. I find that the United States Postal service alot cheaper especially if you dont need part right away.
