I purchased a cover for my 152 from Bruce's Custom Covers almost seven years ago. I was getting ready to replace it as the stitching on the edge was failing and it was looking pretty ratty. I forget how exactly, but I became aware that they advertised a lifetime warranty against that sort of thing and if the cover is in otherwise good shape they will repair it. I called and they confirmed it. I shipped it back and today it was returned. They paid return postage, cleaned the cover like new, replaced all of the edging and corners with new material, and basically rebuilt the cover all at no cost.
All I can say is WOW!

Harry, I am looking for a cover like that...what's the "ball park" figure on something like that?

Also, after I get my plane repainted (one day) I'd like to cover ALL of it - any idea of someone who would do wing covers and perhaps a fusalage cover? My plane is near a highway and I get a lot of soot and stuff off the road on my plane. It would also help keep the snow and ice off. MM

Seriously,

Would if you were the manufacture of guns, would you not try to help out your buying public - lets face it, you've given (sold) them the tools to get back at you if your customer service was questionable laugh laugh whistle whistle whistle

Mike I don't recall off hand what the cost was and rather than look for a seven year old price I would be more comfortable if you were to check out Bruce and the other makers of aircraft covers. It was not expensive compared to hanger rental. My intent was not to push one company over any other but to tell others in the club of the outstanding service that I received from Bruce's Covers.
Before we bought an airport house in Florida, my plane stayed out in the weather.. the salt weather, and a cover was not a luxury. Even now it spends at least half the year outside in Abaco Bahamas and I expect to get another seven years out of my rebuilt cover.

I will vouch for Bruce's Covers aircraftcovers dot com.... They did some covers for the CItation that faded out pretty quickly... Spoke to them about it they said, "we have a better fabric now send them back"

no charge.... new covers

They are not cheap but as mentioned they are less than a hangar and they offer total coverage (wings etc)

PlaneCovers.com on the East Coast makes a very high quality cover, and if the stitching goes south after a number of years they will re-stitch the cover for a very minimal fee.
