Oh you doubters of the 150 and 152's true capabilities.

True story..........

One 1978 Cessna 152

One Chevy TH350 transmission in the baggage compartment

Two big, very big, guys, (Still don't know how they got the doors closed.)

Topped off tanks! (Did it myself!)

Flew from TPH, (5,500' elevation) to BIH one fairly warm morning!

No, I wasn't one of the guys!

Sorry, I somehow missed the questions earlier in the post. I flew with Luke, 9 yr old up front @ 95 lbs. Leah & Will in the child seat @ 50 lbs each. I weigh 205. We weren't even over gross! We only had approx half fuel when we took off. The only difference I noticed was that it was a little pitchy on the elevator. I didn't take photos during that flight and we haven't loaded up and all flown since.

If anyone has any doubts about our lil 150 and their capability with regards to being over gross, read this:

Good Luck with the purchase. The seat frame folds up and lets you reclaim some of the used floor space. Mine came with some quick release pins for the base to come out pretty quick also.

It will come in hand to sit your flight bag on or any other item that you may want to reach easily while in flight.

That ferry flight is most impressive, but did you catch the part that said it took 2 hours to reach 5000'? That comes out to a climb rate of 41.6 feet per minute. Gulp!

Yes sir. That whole flight was too scary for lil ole me! The sandstorm & filter change leg sounded impossible.

I'll check my paperwork. I should have it tucked away somewhere.
