i like the looks of those older migs..my best friend was a crew chief on a uh1a and shot down a mig17f in laos..
the crew couldnt take any credit for the kill because they were where they shouldnt have been..

Now that would be a fun airplane to fly....

I'd always heard that Russian fighter planes have a white stripe down the middle of the panel but never seen it in a photo. It's supposedly there in case the pilot becomes disorientated in some unusual attitude, he can just line up the control stick with the white stripe to neutralize the ailerons and proceed from there....

somehow, I think the fuel burn would keep it on the ground a lot, but it would be a cool airplane to fly.

A T-37 would be the plane to have. One could almost afford to fly it. Trouble is annuals and repair costs would be sky high. Just don't try spinning it.

Why not spin a t-37? They were specifically designed for spinning.
