I am looking for a cessna clock that will be used for parts to repair the one in my aircraft. The clock that I have is marked CA-6254 and S-1317N1 which is the Cessna part number. Anyone have one in their junk box??

Richard,

I have one that is obviously only good for parts. It has no identification on it, is wind-up, and appears to have a broken main spring (it won't wind, no matter how long you twist the stem). Somebody was already inside, and apparently had it running. What looks like tape on the back cover is really a peace of clear plastic cemented in place. Free to you, or anyone else who can use it. Is it like yours? See attachment.

Carl, thanks but mine is electric. Took it apart and everything works but the coil is open and no one has parts for it. Was made by Borg instruments in Wisconsin. Can't locate them there anymore. Where are you located?? I am up above you in St. Marys, Georgia.

Rich,

I noticed the tail-number of one of your planes: N99997. Do you have problems saying that real quick on the radio?

Haller Airpark (7FL4) is almost due west of the city of St. Augustine, on the west side of the St. Johns river, on U.S. 17. We're about 35 miles south of downtown Jacksonville. See Haller circled in red on the attachment. We have the rare distinction of being on both sides of a sectional (Jacksonville). The top of the bottom half, and vice versa.

EDIT: Oh yeah! It's a very old sectional, and pieced together from two halves, so not to be used for navigation.

Carl, If you ever plan a workday on the 150's and need an extra hand let me know. I'm retired and one of the airport bums at 4J6 St. Marys. Be glad to come on down and help.

That's a wonderful offer!

Feel free to stop in anytime (That goes for anyone)! White stucco house and barn/hangar with red roof, midfield east side, with a cement pond in the back yard. I may or may not put you to work, but the hangar flying and airplane watching is great, and the iced tea is free (you have to stay overnight for the free beer!)

EDIT: See attachment (it was hurricane season).

Richard,

I have an electric clock that is marked CA-6254 and S-1317. The plastic case was broken, however the mechanism was working when removed. Let me know if you still need it. You can have it for the cost of shipping.

John, I'll take it. Really appreciate the offer. Send me your address and I'll send you the shipping costs. You can send it via PM here. The coil in my clock is bad and repair shops say no longer available. I am working on the interior of my 150 fixing the broken stuff and will eventually do the seats and side panels etc. Now I'm working on the instrument panel. Fixing the flying things first. Again thanks.

Richard,

The clock will be shipped out with-in the next couple of days. Just reimburse me for the shipping when you get it.

I replaced the Cessna clock with a Davtron M800. Nice clock, but hard to read at the bottom of the panel. Heck, the orignial clocks do not require an instruction manual.
