As much as I lust after a 150/150 or a very low priced c 150 south of the 49th, I have been shopping in the Great White North.

I send an email to the person selling this plane asking for more details.

http://www.trade-a-plane.com/clsfdspecs/817468

The price is $35 000 CAD which is about $28 500 USD.

From the pictures everything looks about average or better. VREF @ AOPA puts it at $31 000 USD.

Other than the fact that it's not a cherry 150/150 with long range tanks, I can't see any obvious problems!

Have you looked in the classifieds section at the COPA website or in the latest magazine?. You have to be a member. There is also AvCanada [avcanada.ca]. The Western Producer is another good place to look, though I'm not sure if it is available on east coast newstands - maybe available on-line.

Western Producer needs a paid subscription, but AV Canada was a good tip, there are a couple of 150's there.

there are so many planes for sale; it's hard to choose. Of course, I'm a bit frugal (that's not how my wife puts it!

If you want, I can have a look through a Western Producer for you and let you know of anything interesting. They are everywhere out here.

Thanks John,

Please do!

There aren't too many planes for sale here in the maritimes and the 150s I've seen advertised are real dogs; or as cowboys say, "...rode hard and put away wet..."

I checked a recent issue of the Western Producer and there is nothing in there for 150's, sorry.

But I just talked with a friend in Regina and he knows of a 68 or 69 150 that is in great mechanical shape (he does the annual) and needs some cosmetic TLC. There is also another 150 close to Saskatoon that is for sale, newer and with more toys in it than the one above.

I can get the information for both later today.
