If you can make it Bill I would be most grateful.
Of course if everything comes together the purchase of an airplane in Oregon presents a wonderful challenge for me since I will most likely be keeping it in SW Florida.
But first I would have to head up to Bainbridge Island, Washington to show it off to friends who live up there. Husband and wife are both pilots and the 150 is the husband's idea of a dream plane. Of course he is a power plant engineer and therefore has a reputation for being a bit skewed in his thinking.

Then it would be a long cross country to Florida as and when weather permits. A late winter/early spring time frame suggests the southern route. I've not seen much of California so a tour down the coast might be nice. Then hop over toward El Paso, across Texas, the Gulf Coast and on to Naples, Florida. The last time I did such a trip it was up high in a turbo Mooney so getting over the big rocks wasn't as much of an issue. This time it would be quite different. I would like to fly Monument Valley again though. Never mind, there will be time for that later.
Talk about counting chickens before they're hatched.
Now that someone brought up the subject of a long cross country for yours truly then one of those new 696s would be nice for keeping track of where I am. I heard that one of the presidential candidates who has already declared for 2012 is promising a free 696 in exchange for support. Anybody know how to contact this guy?
