I am going to utilize the services of an aircraft buying agent to help me find and buy an airplane. They will do the work of finding an aircraft, negotiating a price. They will present the airplane to me and I have the sole right to buy or not buy. There fee is $1500 paid only if I buy an airplane utilizing their services.

Normaly, I would not do this. However, considring my frustration and the fact that they can get to an airplane much quicker than I can, I think this may be a good alternative particularly if my search is nationwide.

I've been looking for a C-150 for quite awhile too, but have not encountered anyone representing themselves as a "buyer's agent." Can you provide some info on who or where the agents advertise their services? I have seen the ads at Global Aircraft Sales. The person who runs Global claims to bring buyer and seller together, arranges financing if needed, supposedly pre-purchase and annual inspections, and ferrying service, if needed, for a fee which I believe the seller pays. He is more of a broker though, and it seems to me that his services are more valuable to the seller than the buyer. I would be interested in hearing where you found the buyers' agent.
