Clinton sounds like more and more fun everytime I read about it. But then again, maybe Poobs will be doing my laundry after Catherine gets done with him. | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 2,362 Member/1500+posts | Member/1500+posts Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 2,362 | Catherine you should have Poobs wash the clothes and you can take him up for the spin cycle, 15 turns should dry things out! He was almost giddy that he would be able to have clean clothes at Clinton, finally! Definitely...he needs an extra run on the "Spin Cycle!"

I can't believe that Poobs would make a piggish comment like that with Clinton (and spins) coming up. I have a great memory, my friend!
Thanks for the heads-up, Hung.
Catherine And then I get this via a PM. You know Ed, I don't know why everyone makes a huge fuss about having the women finally do the laundry at Clinton. Heck, it is about time. And if Catherine thinks she can even come close to getting me sick well then I say BRING IT ON!!! I got them all snowed. I just want everyone to feel sorry for me. | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 946 Member/750+posts | Member/750+posts Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 946 | Oh my goodness Ed, you'r in a heap now. I can't believe you really said that about our very own spin lady. Shame on you, you big bully.

I took three pieces of angle iron, drilled a hole in the top of each one, attached each with a one foot section of chain and made three of them. They work great. I think "the claw" uses the same concept.
I'll bet Ed Patacky will have the women tying his plane down. | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,183 Likes: 138 Member/1000+posts | Member/1000+posts Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,183 Likes: 138 | Do a search on tie downs and you will see a lot of variations. I made some with chain. 3 lengths connected with a quick link. My rods are 18 inch pieces of 3/8 steel. I threaded one end and used lock nuts and washers for the stop and sharpened the other end. 3 sets, an extra rod, hammer, ropes and bag weigh 11 pounds. Look at the EAA site also for more ideas.

I tie the rope to the quick link and drive some really big nails into the ground through the end link of each chain segment. The head of the nail keeps the chain from slipping off. No modifications necessary, and the only tool you need is a blunt object to drive the nails.
