Hi everyone,
Im looking to join your ranks, and Im looking for a 150 fixer upper.
Ive found one on trade a plane and I am hoping someone would be willing to go by and put eyes on it for me.
It needs some work, its out of inspection, possibly needs an overhaul, but i would like to know how the airframe looks and feels.
Im not looking for "an inspection", but i would feel better if someone that knows these planes take a look at it before I invest in flying myself and my mechanic friend up there.
The plane is south of columbus at a grass field, Columbus Southwest, 04i
If anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it

Hey Conor, welcome to the club! Sorry I'm not in Ohio but I'll bet someone will step up really soon. I joined the club when I purchased my 152 and have been the beneficiary of some great advice for his care. These guys and gals are great.

Cheers,
Catherine

Conor,

Hi, welcome to the club. I live in Columbus and have a Cessna I keep just west of 04i. Some of the guys at my airport probably know this plane and/or its owner.

I'd be glad to take a look at it for you, it's very near to me. You can call my cell to discuss, 614-439-4981.

Conor. Welcome aboard! Like Greg I'm located here in Columbus. I pass by Columbus Southwest (a small grass strip) on my way to Bolton Field (TZR). Do you have a tail number? I'm heading over to Bolton this morning. I know a couple of guys based at Southwest. I'll stop by and ask around.

Greg, Yes, I took some pictures and sent them to Conor along with a description of the plane. I believe Conor is still exploring his options.
