I am looking for a used portable 2 place intercom that has a separate audio input. Doesn't need to be anything flashy or have other extensive features. I'm planning on using it with a scanner so my son and I can talk utilizing our aviation headsets during Nascar and other races we attend. I have seen some on Ebay but they get a little pricey when you can buy new ones for about $115. Send me a private message if you have something you want to get rid of or is just laying around since you put in your panel mount.
Thanks guys

You might try this instead. Used them successfully on my early (1978) Goldwing for several years.

I have seen them new with the FM radio for $80, so check ebay and see what you find. Not sure which models (if any) have input for other radio's, but I bet they do. Plus you don't have to take your headsets to the track, just some ear plugs or muffs.

Jeff,
Thanks for your input. I have looked at this area but you really need good gel headphones to hear the scanner at the track. The portable aviation intercom allows us to talk back and forth (we are sitting or standing next to each other) with good quiet headphones and voice activated mikes, they're just not plugged into a radio. Most are a very small package with volume, squelch and a separate audio input for stereo, etc. A scanner's headphone output plugs into this input easily. Works great loud and clear without any hassles other than wrapping up the extra headphone and mike output cable.

Thanks to those that have replied. I believe I have already worked out a deal for one with a good club member.
