Keep flying the plane all the way to the scene of the landing/crash.
And you can never have too much rudder. Is it less controversial to state it that way?

A very nice 1968 H and only 20 miles from home. We close on it this week. Thanks for being a great resource. All the tail size/ crosswind info was something I had not considered, nor was it a determining factor, but it was interesting. By the way Mike Arman's book was a helpful resource too.
I did notice there is less plastic in the G's and H's than the L's and M's That and Bill's rough field gear response did swing my interest back to those years. Really all the years have good points, the key was to find a really nice one for a fair price. Jim

The key is to determine what YOU want/need the bird for. Then the condition of the relevant suitors. Best of luck with it!!! Oh yeah..... PICTURES!!!! My kids can help me with that as I tend to be digitally challenged. It looks nice, white base coat wth a blue and black stripe. It's most noticable feature is the DST wing tips. They remind me of Sally Fields in the Flying Nun. Jim

Jim Too funny...the first time I saw these wing tips that's EXACTLY what I thought...as a matter of fact, when Royson and I are out and about and I can't remember the name I just call them the flying nun wing tips and Royson knows exactly what I'm talking about!
