I have someone here who has a 1968 C-150 and is looking for a forward upper cowling nose bowl. His is cracked and he would like to replace it. If anyone has one or knows where he can look for one , please let me know. Thanks...

George,

I have seen very few that aren't cracked! I have 2 that have been repaired, and one needs it again. A year or so ago I priced a new replacement, at around US$325-$350! I checked salvage yards, and specified undamaged. Some laughed at me (politely). I keep hoping someone would STC a fiberglass replacement, but I've not found any yet.

Anybody want to start a cottage industry?

Carl, Thanks for your fast reply...yea, I understand that this guy has been looking around for awhile too. I have a friend who runs York Enterprises that might be able to fabricate something like that but the problem would be that it wouldn't be "certified for Cessna!" so don't think it would be legal. He does a lot of Aluminum work and fiberglass mouldings so it wouldn't be too hard for him. He's rebuilding a Pitts right now and his dad is building a mini mustang. Very talented pair! Any, thanks for your input.

Anytime, George!

I just did a search, and Prefered Airparts doesn't have any!
Premier has one at over $500 list, $482.24 our cost. I should have gotten all they had a year ago!

Edit: p/n 0452002-6 fits nearly all 150's through 71!
