I have an idea... eek

Now don't just move to the next post before hearing what I have to say. And no, it isn't about setting tents up in the big hangar during Clinton. crazy

OK, here goes...

It would be interesting to have a plane (possibly the plane of the month) each month, and have everyone chime in on a poll of what they think the value is. Most individual plane owners like myself, will think their plane is worth more than most, and I know that a plane is ultimately worth what someone will pay for it (whether it's high or low), however, it would be a good topic to give people an idea of market value, and what other pilots seem to find important.

For example...

Take the January 2008 airplane, give all the pertinent details and pictures, and post a poll with different dollar ranges. Then individuals could post "CONSTRUCTIVE" pro's and con's, and even the best upgrades a seller could do to help in expediting the sale or increasing the sale price, and even the opposite what not to do's.

The only thing that scares me in doing this, is that this would be a club members airplane, and too often lately, people get too cuaght up in opinions, and take offense with one another.

I personally would find it interesting to see what others would value "my plane" at, and the suggestions of good or bad that they have. Not that I'm selling, but if I ever did, I would have a good indication of what is desirable and what is not.

So, what do y'all think? smile

I think that it is a very good idea. smile

Shoud be the way to learn many things about planes, engines, systems and equipment.

I was a pilot not a mechanic so I have to learn many many things. That could be a way.

I could be not an impartial judge about taildraggers cool
Absolutely not objective if the tailDRAGSTER is texan, white- blu. cryFortunately ...that plane was the plane of the month some months ago.

I- NCAA, unfortunately a certified airplane

Do we have an "airplane of the month" anymore? Hearing the opinions of those more knowledgeable than I would be interesting.
