Has anyone had some recent experience with new exterior paint job for C150? What was the cost? Any reccommended shops or "stay away" shops?

We just got our 76 150 N 714QG painted in Mena Arkansas.
The strip/primer/repaint was $ 3750, from AOG PAint Services
We are very happy with the service.
Be advised repalcement plastic parts are extra.

I just had 5282B painted last fall.
$5200 here in the N.E. This was the best price I could find
in this area. Emron system.
Other prices where as high as $7800

We have a local aircraft painter here who paints some of the high-dollar experimentals our area is famous for producing (several OSH Grand Champions) and they generally run about $15,000. Since these are brand new airplanes, they don't need stripping. Kinda makes a $5000 paint job sound like a bargain huh?

Hey Ron Just curious ...where did you have the paint done? Oxford MA? ME? Tanner Hiller? ?

I had it painted at Oxford Ma.
A few years ago I went to Tanner Hiller for a partial paint, wings and tail only. He was a rip-off ! $3000.00 and all that got painted was the tail and that took over a month to get done.
I would not recomend him.
