Mr. Chitwood:

Carl, no matter what it is an impressive curriculum on your flying hours that involves an equivalent amount of landings.

Proudly I can tell you that within my so far flying instructions, I have officially logged over three hours on my log book and within those hours I have, just last week, my FIRST EVER take-off however, no landings yet. I am sure that if you stop flying for several decades I may be able to catch-up with you.

Currently I am working on the details leading to the delivery of the born again Cessna 152 and for sure I will be keeping a detailed LOG book on my flying time.

Regards and congratulations on your hours.

Dear Mr. Lionel:

Indeed the set is a nice one as I have judged the 22 pictures that the seller provide me. The price was incredible good, $175.00 for the complete set... WOW! I am paying additional $50.00 dollars for the shipment via UPS or FedEx from Tennessee to Grants Pass. I hope that I can get them before the end of the year.

By the way, the nose wheel pant needs some repairs that I will be able to do it myself and in regards to the hardware, I got the specifications from Cessna for the 1978, 172 that came off from it and, for the 1979, 152 that I am planning to installed them on.

It happen to be that all the hardware for the main landing gears are EXACTLY the same part numbers including the wheel pants right and left, however for the nose wheel pant it is a different part number as well as for the bolt that you are talking about. One of them it is little bit longer.

In any case I am taking the challenge for it, the repairs and installations will be done and I am sure that it will be looking nice on the airplane due to the fact that it matches some what the born again existing skim colors.

Salvador, from the picture it looks like you don't have the " plate assy-main gear wheel fairing LH and Plate assy-main gear wheel fairing RH " ( the plates the wheel fairings bolt to ) Part numbers
0441225-1 and 0441225-2 in the 1978 thur 1985 illustrated parts catalog. the plates are over $100 each. See if thay come with the wheel pants.

Dear Mr. Dunn:

Bernard, you are perfectly right, those wheel pants DO NOT have any of the hardware so I have to hunt for the required items.

A Cessna representative send me a pictures of the nose wheel parts for the Cessna's models 152 & 172. The pants that I am getting came off from a 172. One thing for sure is that all the part numbers for the Cessna 172 and 152 in the main are exactly the same. In regards to the nose there is a long bolt and the difference is one longer than the other one as well as the pant itself have a different size opening.

Now if you know some one that have the corresponding hardware I appreciate if you provide me with the clue. The Cessna 172 was totaled due to a severe hail storm and it is gone. The owner only kept the wheel pants so he can't be able to provide me with the hardware.

I am in the position to paid a fair price for the hardware if I find it used in a reasonable amount of time otherwise I have to get it just new.

I hope I was able to answer your kind and informative message that I much appreciate.

I think I have one of those, I dont see a part number though. It has a crack (visible in this picture), maybe one of the A&P mechanics might know if it can be fixed or not. [Linked Image]

Dear Bryan:

I welcome your help. Tomorrow I will be getting the technical data for the mains part numbers as well as pictures of the plates. If the ones you have fit my needs I am your customer. How about that?

So I will be in touch about your plates. In regards to the crack I can tell you that it can be fix and that fix not only can restore the structural integrity of the plate but, it will be stronger than it's original strength. So that part will not be a problem at all.

You'll also need a set of main axle nuts. The fairings mount to special nuts.
