These look like a nice set of wheel pants, I would ask the seller if any are cracked,, looking at one of the pics, it would seem like one of the mains has a crack, If it is cracked, it can be fixed up, but it is a bit of a pain,, worth a close look though. Bill, I know you're reading this,, the one fellow pilot that got the deal on ebay,, and I think that was a steal of a deal.. Did you ever hear how they were? I really screwed up on those ones, the price was so nice that I should of snapped them up,, but hopefully, it was someone from our club that got them,

Jose, first of all thank you for your unconditional support and for the clues to find a set of wheel pants and for that, I have a good news too.

I did a follow up on one of your referrals and "BANG" I got a set of pants out of a 1978 Cessna 172. Incidentally those match the skim colors of my first ever airplane. I am attaching some pictures and once again thank you very much for your great generosity.

Please share pictures of your Cessna, I understand that is a 152. What year? Can you describe the specifics?

Dear Mr. Pataky:

Ed, based on Jose Cespedes's referral I got the nice looking set that although the nose wheel pant needs some repairs it will be an opportunity to get out of the closet some of the skills that I developed over the years fixing the fiberglass nose and panels from my race cars mishaps on the race track.

It is just neat the diligent, courteous and generous support that the members of this fine and fun club offers to each other.

I am getting there in the mean time I got my Student Pilot License, Insurance, Airplane and a full Long Range tanks of gas ready to continue my instructions her at the 3999 feet Grants Pass 3S8 airport.

Salvador, did the nose wheel pant come with the metal cover plate that fits above the top hole, If not, I saw a few on Ebay the other day,, As well, something to check out, the nose wheel bolt, if you look at it on, with wheel pants off, and nose wheel mounted onto the fork, it should extend I'm guesing at least 1/2" either side of the fork. The more technical guys should probably know a bit more then me on this one,, I have seen a few 150's that didn't have the wheel pants, and the front stud was shorter and would not fit across once wheel pants were installed. Juts 2 things to check,,

Congratulations! I am a firm believer that the right plane will come to you at the right time - and YOUR new plane is a good looking piece of machinery!

Looking at the pics, I notice that there are no mounting plates and nuts for the wheel covers. A little advice: while looking for the wheel pants, ask about the mounting hardware. The plates and nuts can sometimes cost more than the wheel pants.

By the way, thanks for the pics of your racing cars. Gorgeous!

Oh, ya wanna know how many hours I've got?

Honestly, I don't even know! Hundreds, but not thousands, I'm sure. I lost my first logbook from the 70's, and I once quit logging for nearly 2 years when I was flying a lot and it became a bother (between BFR's). I never expected to need any more than I already had logged for any higher rating, and certainly not for employment (now they've raised mandatory retirement age to 65, too!). When my BFR instructor pointed out that I wasn't documenting my currency, I started logging again! I've got several hundred hours of Navy aircrew time, too, but it's only value is to me! I've never believed hours logged proves anything to anybody but myself anyway! I've seen excellent student pilots, and lousy P-3 and C-130 Aircraft Commanders.

Jose, indeed you run me to experience that it pays off addressing somebody's needs and concerns to the experts and well respected member individuals of this great fun and fine Cessna 150-152 Club.

As a matter of fact of life you got a full credit from me as well as a high commendation because I got the set of wheel pants that you referred me to it in the first place and, additionally if that was not enough it matches the skim colors of my first ever born again Cessna 152 airplane.

Once again thank you, you have teach me a lesson because I am the President of the "Poor People's Club" as well as the President of the "Selfish People's Club" and I can tell you that for sure those executive positions do not fit here, for sure I have resigned to both.
