I am interested in a used Lightspeed 15XLc or 20XLc or equivelant if someone wants to sell theirs and upgrade or just unload. Anyone have something like this they want to deal on?

I just bought a reconditioned LightSPEED 15XL from LightSPEED direct for $250. You can check their product availability here:

http://www.anrheadsets.com/productsrecon.asp

They show the 15XL as 'discontinued', but I would give them a call and see if they have any left in the pipeline. They're very helpful and friendly on the phone.

They do show a 20XLc for $350, but that might be more than you'd want to spend. I will say that, for a 'reconditioned' headset, it looks brand new.

May I recommend MG Golden Eagle headsets? [marvgolden.com] They actually are Lightspeeds QFRXCc headset under a different name. Lightspeed warranty's them. And brand new only $240.00. We purchased these for Justina. I have to say that I almost like them better then my 20XL's!

Just a follow up...I acquired a Lightspeed 20XL headset that is 3 years old but like new for $247.50. While watching the auctions I saw some headsets sell for 90-125% of selling prices new. Interesting place, E Bay. But if you're patient you can usually get what you want at a good enough price. smile

Haven't used them yet. I'll let you know later. Ratings are great and several club members have them who have expressed positive comments. So, I hope they'll be what I wanted. I'm still using a headset that Pilot made for Chief Aircraft that I bought 15 years or so ago. I did upgrade them with the Oregon Aero products and put on gel seals awhile back so they're really not bad for a basic set. The Lightspeeds should be a dramatic change, I hope.

The 20XL is a good headset and if needed, you'll get great customer service from Lightspeed. There's a reason why only Bose and Lightspeed products bring such high prices on the used market.
