Maybe! I bought a McCauley prop that looked just as good for ONE HUNDRED AMERICAN DOLLARS from an antique dealer who didn't know anything about airplanes! After I got the prop home I measured it and found the tips about an inch out of track from one another. I was going to have it overhauled, but one of my eagle eye neighbors found a very light stamping I had missed! It was stamped on the hub "Unairworthy: NOT FOR FLIGHT!", then painted over with thick paint!

It had already been rejected by some prop shop. frown

I'd be very surprised if the seller misrepresented the prop. He does have 100% positive feedback and did offer a 10 day return policy. Looking at his feedback, he's sold other airplane parts and avionics.

Hopefully you can sell the wall-hangar prop for more than the $100.00 you paid?

I got my money back! I sold it to an American working in the Netherlands, who later came to the AOPA Expo in Tampa last year as a guest speaker. I drove down to deliver the prop and see the Expo. He later emailed pictures of it hanging on his wall at home in the Netherlands. smile

WOW....I wish this had been for sale a couple of months ago when I had to put a new one on my aircraft.....$795 isn't a great deal...it's a steal. I paid $2,800.00 for mine....ouch.

I'll be putting a McCauley OCM6948 climb prop and spinner on market around jan '08 as I have a new Sensenich coming. My old one is polished but in good shape. Spinner has a wear thru hole on one side over front bulkhead. Both bulkheads are good. Best I can tell it has around 4700 hrs on it. Looking for offers.
