Would anyone know the procedure for obtaining a new Approved Flight Manual for our birds that require them? FAR 91.9,(b)2, requires an Approved Flight Manual be in the aircraft.

Take out you charge card and call Ce$$na.
Be sure to have your serial number handy.

Thank you very much. I just bought a 1977 C-150M that requires the Approved Flight Manual. The previous owners can't seem to locate the AFM, so I will get hold of Cessna ASAP

Check E-bay and do a search in here for this. Several threads have links to replacement manuals which are copies but really not bad as price goes. I have my "antique" original copy at home and a newer one in the aircraft.

These are decent reproductions. The ones from some other places are copies also but these seem like the best ones ive seen.

Only aircraft manufactured in 1979 or later require a serialized AFM, per FAR 91.9,(b)2 (often misenterpreted). A 1977 150M or earlier would have a generic POH or owners manual, but they are not required to be serialized to the aircraft, and can be any legible copy.
