I've been through the same exercise (like most everybody here) and the conclusion is simple: I (we) can not and never will be able to justify (on paper) owning a plane. It will never work out - unless you use that new math. That being said, I can only add one thing: Who cares? Here endith the lesson. Jim

How do you like the Lowrance airmap 500? I took more risk than usual climbing through to the top of the clouds. But I had full fuel and the sky was clear where I took off. So I could turn back if I need to. I just had to make sure I wouldn't get disoriented. (Can an Oriental guy get disoriented? ) I like the Airmap 500 fine. Some of its process, like programming a route, takes a lot of button pushing. But it's reliable and you can't beat the price. I paid $280 new. | | | | Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 259 Member/250+posts | Member/250+posts Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 259 | Hung, Can an Oriental guy get disoriented? HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Like Jim did, I re-read all of that whole thread and looked at every picture. At first, it seemed like we were kinda hijacking this thread. Afterwards, though, I can't think of a better way to answer the question. "To buy or not to buy," for me, there's only one right answer. Wow Hung. What a story you told. And the pictures...thank you.

I think Im the one that started hijacking my own thread..Hey, let it go where it goes...I dont mind, its all interesting reading. I just got on here yesterday and after reading till about 2am Ive come to the conclusion you just did. I cant think of a better way to answer the question than to just get on here and read of the experiences of more experienced pilots and their 150/152's.. great observation... | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 2,627 Member/2500+posts | Member/2500+posts Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 2,627 | Hi Billy, welcome to your club!
