Even a "new" airplane needs a little work! what did you see that needs work? The only thing I saw was the improper exhaust stacks (easy fix)! It even has the right spinner for a 1970 K. It looks like a nice plane, to me, reasonably priced, even with the higher TSOH. The next bid ($16,100) meets the reserve and the airplane is SOLD!

Only a couple of hours drive from me. I wish we had found it sooner. A club member might have been interested, and I could have checked it out for them. Only 1 day left on bidding!

He mentioned in the questions section that he had low compression (61) on one of the cylendars. It didn't sound like a show stopper to me.

I agree, it looks like a good plane.

I've gotten to the point that I don't believe "compression" numbers unless I do it myself. Seems most mechanics either don't know about TCM SB03-3, or disregard it. 62/80 on an O-200 usually isn't anything to worry about by itself, and if the check is done properly, it's probably higher anyway!
